18 The person who speaks on his own authority[a] desires[b] to receive honor[c] for himself; the one who desires[d] the honor[e] of the one who sent him is a man of integrity,[f] and there is no unrighteousness in him. 19 Hasn’t Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps[g] the law! Why do you want[h] to kill me?”

20 The crowd[i] answered, “You’re possessed by a demon![j] Who is trying to kill you?”[k]
